Puretorq, a professional manufacturer of vane type actuator, will launch Fail-safe actuators in Q2 of 2009. Puretorq Fail-Safe Vane actuator utilizes an air tank to assure valve closure, regardless of air pressure droop. This design makes Puretorq vane type actuator positively fail-safe because they will fail instantaneously when air pressure is lost or falls below a predetermined minimum air setting.
